Easy and simple Get ready with me for summer

During the summer, no one likes to wear a lot of makeup since you’ll be spending a lot of time in the heat or around water. For me, I’ve noticed that I either choose full bare face or full makeup… there’s just no in-between. I’m not a makeup artist, but I always seem to start with just a bit of concealer and mascara, but end up finishing with purple glitter eyeliner and contour.

So this is my makeup look for the summer when I want to wear a little more makeup for a simple, fresh look that doesn’t look like pounds of makeup on your face. I’ve also been loving the really glowy makeup trend lately so you’ll notice I love adding lots of glowy products into my routine! Enjoy and leave a comment on your favorite summer makeup product!

Step 1: Face and base

My new favorite foundation is the Maybelline fit me matte & poreless. I tried the moisturizer and smoother from the same line and it was nowhere to compare! The matte and poreless one lasts much longer and looks and feels much smoother on my skin. For concealer, I use Maybelline’s Anti-Aging Under Eye Concealer which has a sponge tip applicator and it’s easily my new favorite concealer! The coverage is good and as long as you set it with powder it lasts quite a long time too. For powder I use NYC Translucent Loose Powder, for me the powder doesn’t make much of a difference and I don’t have oily skin so I don’t bother with high end powders.

Step 2: Eyebrows and outline

The next step is the eyebrows. I fill them in very lightly just to define them a bit with my NYX eyebrow pencil. In summer, everyone likes to be very tanned and glowy, including me! I use a large brush to tan my face in all three formations. For my contour and blush I use my It Cosmetics vitality disc, the highlight of the palette is amazing but unfortunately I missed loving it so much. For highlighting, I used my Mac Strobe Cream and Powder Highlighter on top of a Hard Candy Blush Palette. To lighten it up and add even more glow, I take a small swipe of white eyeshadow and dab it on top. I love highlighting the tip of my nose so I make sure to add a lot of shine to it.

Step 4: Eyes

In the summer I don’t use a primer because I find my eyeshadow creases less if I ignore it. I usually change my eyeshadow all the time, but I always love my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. It’s such an og palette and has never let me down. I use a light color all over my eyelid and the darker browns in my crease, then just a touch of shimmery white in the center and inner corners to add even more sparkle!! I find it’s too hot in the summer to wear eyeliner and it always seems to melt, so I use black eyeshadow and smudge it into the lower lash line instead. My absolute favorite mascara is Too face better than sex and I have never used another mascara after trying this one!

Step 5: Lips

The last step for me is the lips! I love liquid lipsticks right now and my favorites come from color pop and NYX. In this look, I opted for NYX lingerie in bedtime flirt which is a beautiful peachy nude color and it’s so creamy!

*Extra tip!

I didn’t show it in the video but to lock it all in and make sure it stays put all day, use Urban Decay Setting Spray! This stuff is amazing and made my prom makeup last all day and night! And because it’s a spray, it’s also super refreshing for the summer and will keep your look from melting.

So this is my summer look lately! Like I said, I go makeup-free most of the time, but I get a little carried away when I want to wear makeup, which is why it might seem like a lot for the summer.
