A guide to manifesting your future with vision boards

Vision boards are the latest trend and constantly pop up on our social media, but what is a vision board… and how does it work?

Vision boards are all part of visual manifestation and have positive benefits to help achieve: academic goals, financial goals, personal goals as well as personal growth. Whether you decide to create a vision board just to manifest something short-term or whether you decide to manifest your ultimate lifestyle is up to you!

What is special about vision boards

Vision boards offer so much more than a collection of aesthetic photos on your wall, they are a constant reminder and motivator.

Spend a few moments each day looking at your vision board and have a quiet time to imagine your aspirations and goals as well as: good health, spirituality, social life and personal growth. Having a vision board in a place that you can see often and every day is essential to attracting what you desire in life.

Where to start…

Before you start making it, you need to figure out exactly what you want to attract. It can be perfect grades, a new job, travel opportunities, relationships…anything you want to manifest in your life.

Once you understand what you want to manifest in your life, it’s time to get more specific, for example, if you want to move to a new city, which part? What will your new home look like? The key to manifesting and having a vision board is to be very specific about your intentions.

The categories

If you don’t know what to add to your board or just think of a few things, that’s okay! Don’t just focus on one category you want to attract, add some or even all of them!

Academic

What do you want to achieve academically? It could be… perfect marks, or even a passing mark! A certain success rate you want to achieve or maybe a new academic opportunity.

Social life

Do you want to diversify and make new friends? Maybe meet a certain type of people who share your interests or rekindle someone you miss?

Health

Do you have a certain aspiration for health? A balanced and fluid diet or healthy glowing skin? Do you want to exercise more regularly?

Financial

Is there a specific amount of money you want to attract? Maybe you want a stable income or just an increase in money in your direction.

Relationships

Want to attract someone? What do they like? What physical qualities do they have… do they work with your personality? Be specific if you want to manifest a relationship!

Career

Do you want your business to take off? Maybe you want a new job opportunity or a promotion at your job.

Spirituality

Do you want to become more at peace with yourself? Acquire that healthy state of mind you’ve always dreamed of?

personal growth

It comes from person to person. Personal growth could mean something to you that you want to leave, change and grow.

Click and print

A vision board is nothing without pictures…and trust me, you’ll need a lot of them. It’s time to get creative and get comfortable with the internet. Vision boards aren’t always filled with photos; you can use quotes, words and symbols.

My favorite way to find photos is to scroll through Pinterest and save as many related photos as possible. (You’ll find you’ll need a lot more photos than expected, save as many as you can find!) Visualize the layout, you don’t want too much of anything, so get a variety of photos, for example some with people, some without.

Print all your saved images and you are good to go! (Key tip for all my fellow eco-conscious readers, put as many photos in a Google Doc to reduce paper usage).

Organize… and reorganize

At this point you’ll be eager to paste everything in, but you’ll have to hold on for a few more moments, it’s important to make sure you have enough space and enough photos to fill your board.

Don’t forget to layer, layer images and quotes ties it all together and makes it more complete. Paste or paste the pictures and you have yourself a vision board!

Vision Board Checklist

  • Good intentions! The most important reason you create a vision board is that you have good intentions, it is a visual manifestation and part of the law of attraction and can be effective and powerful, so make sure you only attract positivity.

  • A painting (unless you stick it directly on your wall) Tip… using a plain flat piece of cardboard also works perfectly!

  • Paper, to print your images, symbols, words and quotes

  • Magazines, if you want to opt in to using some of those old magazines you’ve been piling up

  • Glue or tape to stick everything together

  • A place in your bedroom or any space you use often where you can place your vision board for daily viewing

Vision boards are powerful and can do wonders.

They are the best tool to motivate and draw the life you aspire and dream of. Having your goals and aspirations right in front of you inspires you to work for what you want and can inspire you to create the life you dream of for yourself.
