Spring break on a budget

Spring break is fast approaching and it’s time to gather your friends and go on an adventure. Not everyone can afford to go to France or Greece, so here are some great ideas for spring break on a budget.

1. Movies

If you can’t travel or leave your city, town or region, take your friends with you to watch movies. Also, bring your student IDs and most places will give you a discount. Some movies coming out this spring are Black Panther; red sparrow; Grave robber; Pacific Rim: Uprising; Love, Simon; Midnight Sun; And much more.

2. Travel nearby

Grab your friends, use a car or rent, and spend a few days in the woods, at a resort, in the mountains, in a new town, the choices are endless! If you’re a student without a car, check out Enterprise Carshare for a cheap hourly car rental.

3. Love your home

Another way to spend time cherishing where you live is to visit art museums or special places that make where you grew up or where you live special. Maybe if it’s nothing special for you, have your friends over and you create a tradition that spring break helps solidify. Make the nearby park your place to talk away from others, or make the ice cream parlor your place to get sundaes and make it a weekly activity.

4. Look at the offers

When you’re on a budget, sometimes it’s really good to plan ahead for your spring break desires. Look in Airbnb, cheap clubs, group prices for hotels, cheap day flights, uncrowded cruises and do your research. Have a final cost for each person, how much is needed for gas, food, accommodation, etc. Find hotels with free breakfast, refrigerators, a POD store and more to keep costs down.

Finding locations for spring break is only difficult when done the week before. Travel safely and with friends, have a great spring break 2018!
